Black Friday Weekend Home/Clothing Haul

The Lusting Life - Black Friday Weekend Home/Clothing Haul

With the temptation of Black Friday Weekend over (comes out of hiding from under the duvet) I can safely say I made it through reasonably unscathed! I’m currently job hunting as my contract role ended recently, so this year I’ve been sensible (mostly) and have sat this one out instead of indulging in a full on weekend spending spree.

So please forgive the lack of Black Friday Wishlist posts/ codes, etc as it would have been far too tempting to resist and would have ended in a move all items to basket kinda scenario! I did purchase a couple of things though which I’ll list below, a few items of clothing & one particular interior piece!

Forget Black Friday shopping, it’s Gilmore Girls Watching!

But first, did anyone else watch Gilmore Girls – A Year in the Life? Don’t worry, there will be no spoilers here. I did however stay up till 3am binge watching all episodes to stop myself from online late night shopping… and now I’m an emotional wreck of mixed emotions!

The Lusting Life - Black Friday wishlist & purchased items

(For anyone who’s already watched them all, how do you feel about the ending? The last four words? And can I get a moment to appreciate Rory’s past boyfriends who have aged wonderfully…Team Jess! Anyway enough now.)

Black Friday – What did I buy?

Ok, ok so I did buy a few bits in the sale despite not going full on Black Friday crazy? Asos was first on my list for a few items that have been in my saved items for a while. And I got a couple of xmas presents whist I was at it, but I won’t say who each is for just in case they read my blog!

Asos Bouncle Jumper / Asos LOST Velvet Ballet Pumps / Asos Cigarette Trousers / Immerse VR Headset / Noisy May Polar Bear Joggers / Noisy May Polar Bear Top / Sass & Belle Bear Mug / Paladone Peg Board (sold out) / Ridley High Waist Jeans / Club L Night Mermaid Blanket

So the slightly bigger purchase over the Black Friday weekend was one item I’ve wanted for ages. I’ve lusted after a round, brass mirror for about 2 years now but I just couldn’t find one the right size that I loved that was in my price range. So when I saw that the mirror I continuously have watched in my watched items list for many months was reduced, I purchased the Greystoke mirror immediately. So now I’m just excitedly waiting for it to arrive!

Livingetc Magazine

Another item I purchased as a Christmas gift over the weekend was a Livingetc Magazine subscription, at £26.55 for the year it was a no brainer! A great gift for any interior design lovers you know and don’t worry if you missed it, as they’re still offering a Christmas special offer for £28.99 here.

Items I resisted but still lust after

And of course there is still a long list of purchases I wanted but refrained from buying, not so much through willpower but more due to lack of funds. Here are some of my most lusted after items below.

West Elm

West Elm Faux Fur Foxy Throw  (sold out) so much sadness for not buying this before it went out of stock last weekend. This will be one of the items I obsess over and scour Ebay for at an ungodly hour until it comes back into stock.

Abigail Ahern

Ahhh, every time I read one of Abigail Ahern‘s  inspiring blog posts I swoon! Fighting the urge to paint every wall a dark, moody hue of deep blue, black or grey in my rented house, I instead find myself each time browsing/ saving every item to my desktop that I want from the online shop.

Firstly the Abigain Ahern Yuha Faux Cactus (sold out) is ideal, stylish greenery & a plant I can’t kill…winner! This sold out pretty quickly online so I’ll be watching and waiting until I have the pennies for one.

And whilst we are talking about Abigail Ahern, the second item I adore is the whimsical Kipper the Pelican. I have an insatiable urge to own him & sit him a top a shelf in the bathroom! No idea why, but I find him magical therefore I must own him. I’ve dropped some subtle hints to the family as to what to buy me for Christmas/ Abigail’s Design Masterclass… I’d be worried I’d physically drool over her beautiful home/ interior!

And lastly, the lovely ladies from MiaFleur who I was lucky enough to meet at last year’s Amara Interior Blog Awards just after they’d won the Best Organisation blog award (& were highly commended again at this year’s awards. Well done ladies!)  They stock a beautiful array of interior items that I drool over regularly. These are a few of my favourites below.

Round Brass & Marble Drinks Trolley / Rouge Brass Bar Stools / Leopard Vase and more recently this beautiful Floral Romance Stool.

I hope you’ve liked my round up on Black Friday Weekend purchases, did you manage to stop yourself from spending or did you splurge? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
