I’ll be attending two weddings this Winter, so I’m hitting the shops (well…online) as I’m after something seasonally appropriate for each.
At this time of year I’d rather maneuver a website leisurely over a coffee than navigate a heaving shopping centre in the run up to Christmas. So queue ‘operation Asos.’
Asos have a great collection of dresses for every occasion which is why they are my personal go-to online retailer year round. I’ve been collating a long list of possible options for each wedding, I’m leaning towards a bright, bold dress for my boyfriend’s sister’s wedding in January – taking place in a church then a beautiful barn for the reception. Then I’m considering a more muted, pastel dress for our friend’s beautiful, stately home wedding & reception in February.
I only went to one summer wedding this year but I bought at least four different dress options for it. So surely one of those could be an option?
The dresses I already own
This Asos Petite Lace Crop Top Midi Pencil Dress in Lilac could be the perfect choice for the stately home wedding in February. I’m often likened to Bridget Jones due to my lack of coordination and extreme clumsiness, so this demure & ladylike option might add an air of class…perhaps.
Or the beautiful True Violet Watercolour Floral Print Maxi Dress might be the perfect Winter option with ethereal, watercolour florals & long length given there may be snow.
I wore the above Asos Petite Bold Placement Border Wiggle Dress to a Summer wedding earlier this year but with different accessories and a different group of people, this one could be recycled for a second outing maybe?
And last but not least the Asos Salon Drape Back Floral Iridescent All Over Sequin Pencil Dress that is a thing of beauty (sigh) but there hasn’t been a suitable occasion to wear it yet. I’m not entirely sure it’s suited to a Winter wedding, but with a fur stole or bolero… it’s just so pretty, I need an occasion to wear this to soon.
I also have an existing bag option I could wear with any of the above. My trusty Whistles Metallic Pink Clutch. I do love their clutch bags, then come in a range of colours and aren’t too bad from £35 for a spacious, leather bag. I’ve had plenty of use out of it so far so its cost per wear is getting better and better!
But in the mean time what’s the harm in looking, a girl needs options right? Check out my top picks from Asos below. I’ll keep you all updated
if when I decide to place another dress order.
Let me know which of the dresses is your favourite in the comments below. Do I stick with one I already have… or shall I opt for one of the below choices?
